Our 1:1 ABA therapy programs are individualized to meet your child’s specific needs. We use formal and informal assessments as well as work closely with you to create a program that will enable your child to increase desired skills and to decrease challenging behavior. The strategies we use are evidence-based and are most likely to be effective in achieving the desired outcomes.
During parent training, you can expect to learn about the basics of behavior principles and how those principles might help to reduce challenging behavior and increase skill acquisition. We will start working with you during daily routines where challenges exist.
We have small groups of 5-8 children of similar ages that work on social interaction in a group setting. Our younger groups work on a variety of play skills and appropriate play with toys, and as our children get older we work on higher level interaction and conversation skills with peers.
The purpose of an FBA is to determine why challenging behaviors are occurring. We will use the results of the FBA to determine appropriate interventions to address the behaviors and make recommendations for their use.
We offer consultation services with an experienced professional who has extensive knowledge of the IEP/ARD process. We can help you understand your child’s rights, help you understand what services are being offered by the school, and help you to advocate for additional services based on your child’s needs.
Our 2:1 or 3:1 playdates will help your child work on social skills in a small, controlled setting. Your child will have specific goals they are working on during these sessions.
We have highly trained technicians that will accompany your child at school, providing support throughout the day or at specified times of the day. Your child will have goals and objectives that they work on each day, and you will receive daily reports on their progress through our dynamic, online data collection system.
When disagreements over services and/or placement occur among the IEP team, an IEE is available to parents as an option to get an outside opinion about the evaluation or decision in question.
We offer consulting services with your child’s related services, such as speech, OT, PT, other family members, nannies/babysitters, and any other person working with your child. It is critical that all individuals working with your child are on the same page in order to maintain consistency across all service providers.
Potty training is a skill that can take longer for children with special needs to master. We will work with you to create an individualized plan to help your child learn this skill.
We provide supervision of technicians working with your child in accordance with the recommendations made by the BACB. We ensure that technicians are trained to work with your child when they begin providing services, and we continue to supervise them on an ongoing basis. We also provide supervision of hours for those technicians wishing to seek their BCBA certification.
Treatment planning involves spending time outside of direct services on creating the best program for your child and ensuring that data collection is up-to-date and driving treatment decisions and that materials are created for use with your child to aide in their learning. Your BCBA will be working on your case on a weekly basis to ensure you are receiving the highest quality services.
Throughout the year, we will be offering classes for parents on a variety of topics that will provide additional information and resources.
