Caroline Kabiri, M.A. in Special Education

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Caroline has been with Steiner Ranch Behavior Therapy since January 2024.

Caroline has a Master of Arts in Special Education and an undergraduate degree in humanities from Trinity University.  She has 8 years of teaching experience in both special education and general education settings.  She has also worked with adults with special needs at Brookwood in Georgetown as their job supervisor.  She has completed all the coursework required to become a BCBA and is now working under the supervision of Dr. Haak in order to gain experience hours and sit for the board exam.

Caroline has taught ECSE (Early Childhood Special Education) in both Fort Bend and Eanes ISD. She also taught 1st and 2nd grades as a collaborative/special education teacher, as well as 3rd and 4th grades.  Her true passion is working with students with significant cognitive delays and those on the spectrum, which is the reason she has decided to further her career in becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.  She is passionate about inclusion and served as the co-chair for the Inclusion Committee in Eanes ISD from 2019-2020.  She is also involved in a non-profit organization called Wonders and Worries which is near to her heart and serves children who have terminally ill parents or who have lost a parent due to illness.

Caroline’s personal experience growing up with a brother with significant cognitive and physical delays inspired her to go into the field of special education and now the field of applied behavior analysis.  She has resided in Austin for 8 years and enjoys spending time with her 3 children and chocolate lab whenever possible.  She is also an avid marathon runner, loves to hike, read, and spend time outdoors.
